Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena. We are seeking a unique Intern to join our Marketing & Public Relations team that will act as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirement are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.  An Intern is expected to work a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week. The time period of the Internship can be adjusted to meet the requirements of the degree plan of the student, and/or with the approval of the General Manager.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Update internal and external marketing assets with the most accurate information (i.e. NRG Park website, static marquee board, social media platforms).
  • Assist in print and broadcast trade for various events.
  • Assist in drafting media alerts, press releases, articles and reports.
  • Attend various meetings pertaining to the department and upcoming events on property.
  • Update media contact database.
  • Assist in producing and distributing email campaigns.
  • Attend various events to assist staff in execution of marketing, media, or social media operations.
  • Assist the team in graphic design elements.
  • Oversee and monitor social media content on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Research marketing as is relevant to NRG Park’s marketing and public relations efforts.
  • Shadow various people within the company to learn all aspects of the company including but not limited to: graphics, billing, content development, sports marketing and sponsorships.

Under direct supervision of the Cashier Coordinator and Parking Manager, the Parking Vault Supervisor controls the cash flow of the Parking Operations Vault including roll-ticket allocations, cash distribution, collection, and deposits. Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Maintain the Parking Vault’s bank and the Vault’s contents on a daily basis, including the daily reconciliation of all monies and submitting accurate deposits.
  • Process and balance the Cashier’s daily income reports.
  • Count money to verify amounts and issue receipts for funds received.
  • Record and investigate all overages and shortages and promptly report to the Parking Manager and/or his/her designee.
  • Notify the Cashier Coordinator of necessary supplies needed from the bank including change, money bags and deposit books.
  • Assist in the training and supervising cashiers, Gate Supervisors and temporary staff.
  • Function as a Cashier when not executing primary job function.
  • Assign Cashiers to their gate assignments.
  • Compile collection, disbursement, and bank reconciliation reports and run summaries of all sales activity.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues or escalate to Parking Management.
  • Able to operate, train and troubleshoot on equipment needed to facilitate parking transactions such as ticket scanners, cashless parking equipment and any other necessary implemented equipment.

NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement.  We are a one of a kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park.  NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking unique Part-Time Parking Attendants to join our Parking team.   The Parking Attendant under direct supervision of the parking supervisory team directs guests where to park in relation to events on NRG Park property. The position often requires lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.  Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Must be customer friendly, self-motivated, and enjoy working around people in a fast paced environment.
  • Effectively communicate with guests, clients, vendors and other personnel via verbal and nonverbal forms of communication.
  • Responsible for safely directing traffic as instructed by his/her Supervisor.
  • Have a reliable form of transportation and communication.
  • Must comply with all ASM Global policies and procedures including the Business Conduct Policy and Code of Ethics.
  • Dress in department specified uniform according to the Parking Policy.
  • Attend all meetings and trainings as required.
