We are seeking a unique Part-Time Operations Staff person to join our Operations team. Under general supervision performs work as needed to clean, maintain, setup/teardown equipment and prepare for events at the facility. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion. Also, ensures all clients' requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events. Duties may include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, stage barricades, staging, bike rack, turnstiles, tables, other furnishings and equipment.
  • Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include but are not limited to loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas.
  • Assist with pre/post event cleaning of operational equipment, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot leaning and washing.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment such as tables, chairs, staging, stage barricades, stage stairs, bike rack and retractable seating.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage of equipment and property, loss of property and equipment and safety concerns promptly to supervisor, manager and director.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.   We are seeking a unique Part-Time Box Office Vault Supervisor to join our Box Office team.   The Box Office Vault Supervisor, under direct supervision of the Box Office Coordinator, manages the vault during events at NRG Park. This employee will handle audits, making change, as well as counting all cash at the end of the event.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Audit vaults and monies at the beginning and end of their shift.
  • Handles bank distribution and collection for ticket sellers, as well as creating new banks for upcoming events.
  • Makes change for ticket sellers when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process single ticket sales at the box office and assist with group sales when requested.

We are seeking unique Groundskeeper Interns to join our Grounds team. The Groundskeeper Intern, under general supervision, assists in maintaining the playing field and grounds at the stadium and team practice fields. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion, such as planting, cleaning, and maintaining sanitary conditions. Interns are expected to work a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week. The time-period of the Internship can be adjusted to meet the requirements of the degree plan of the student, and/or with the approval of the General Manager.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Assists in daily field cultural practices at Houston Texans practice facility. (mowing, fertilizing, sodding, aerification)
  • Assist in the set-up of the playing field for all NFL, College, and High School games as well as other special events that come through the stadium, i.e. concerts, exhibits and soccer matches.
  • Perform chemical and fertilizer spray application under managers supervision.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the field equipment and supplies while maintaining a log of the work performed.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the irrigation system (replace sprinkler heads, repair leaks, adjust distribution, inspect moisture content) at Houston Texans practice fields.
  • Assists in the planting and care of shrubs, flowers, trees and grass.
  • Often use hand tools and equipment or light powered hand tools.
