Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a unique Part-Time Journeyman Electrician to join our Engineering team.   Under general supervision, the Electrician performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks to repair and maintain all electrical equipment in and around the building.  Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Troubleshoot all electrical malfunctions. Assist repairing all inoperable electrical equipment and circuits.
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedule for all electrical machinery, equipment, and wiring.
  • Assist with preparing and repairing electrical fixtures and sockets to run required wires for computer hook-ups.
  • Inspect and assist on all electrical work, telephone hook-ups and wiring to ensure the facility meets safety standards.
  • Advise the facility of all problems related to the electrical systems.
  • Report any event caused damages to supervisor.
  • Maintain, order and pick-up adequate spare parts and supplies.
  • Observe supervisor advising construction contractors, promoters, event coordinators and others on event’s electrical requirements.
  • Assist with special event preparation, conversions, and post event needs, as requested.
  • Catalog all work, repairs, and damages in a daily log.
  • Record all Lockout/Tag out task and assignments in logbook.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Journeyman Electrician license *Required*.
  • OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Certificate preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process single ticket sales at the box office and assist with group sales when requested.

We are seeking a unique Parking Clerk to join our Parking team. Under direct supervision of the Parking Coordinator, is responsible for wardrobe operations during events, including organization and inventory control. Also, represents facility as initial contact for parking staff and the general public prior to and during a scheduled event. Answers telephones, greets and routes walk-in guests and performs light clerical duties to support the daily business activities of the Parking Department. This is a part-time position that is usually scheduled to work after normal business hours. Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients' requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following:

  • Be friendly and helpful to all guests entering the parking office, who may have questions.
  • Courteously and professionally answer the telephone in a timely manner and be friendly and helpful with responding to questions from callers.
  • Record detailed messages from callers and/or visitors.
  • Update parking management with staffing information.
  • Assist in the development and full daily implementation of an efficient inventory management process.
  • Responsible for checking all Parking support personnel in and out of Wardrobe.
  • Issuing and collecting uniforms, supplies and the appropriate daily event notes upon employee check in and check out.
  • Utilize Inventory Management program to track and distribute inventory daily.
  • Serve as the Parking Command Post representative for large stadium and property wide events.
  • Assist staff members with light clerical tasks, such as typing and mailings as time permits.
  • Work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends or holidays, as needed.

  • Provide traffic control and security for the property, facility, costumers, and patrons.
  • Respond to and enforce all applicable laws and respective agency policies.
  • Complete incident reports as required by law and an internal report for NRG Park property.
  • Support facility personnel in the event of an emergency to include evacuation, lock down or shelter-in-place responses.
  • Deescalate potentially unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Perform security related patrols in concourses, lobbies, or parking lots.
  • Monitor access points to the NRG Park property and facilities to ensure only authorized entry is gained. This includes parking lot gates, facility security checkpoints, and other points of ingress and egress.
  • Operates assigned radio equipment.

  • Monitor or secure high value assets such as money rooms, box offices, or Cashier gates.
