Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a unique Command Center Operator to join our Security team.   Under general supervision, the Command Center Operator is responsible for monitoring the security surveillance system on the facility and surrounding grounds, monitoring all access control systems and the dispatching of response personnel. Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Monitor all surveillance, access control equipment and fire panels contained by the facility.
  • Prioritize situations and investigate/dispatch on all safety and security-related incidents. Follow-up all incidents with written reports and recommendations.
  • Answer emergency, non-emergency and administrative phone lines and provide an appropriate response as required by the nature of the call. Respond to emergencies and handle callouts.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all entities who maintain business offices on property.
  • Highly detail oriented. Maintain records and compile reports for management on an as needed basis.
  • Complete daily duties such as audits, activity reports and key-controls
  • Create and manage NRG Park credentials such as proximity badges, meeting room access cards and parking passes.
  • Utilize software such as camera analytics and weather monitoring programs to assist with incident and emergency response
  • Work irregular schedule to ensure proper supervision of all events and activities scheduled in the facility, as required.

  • Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include but are not limited to event setup, loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Supervises, instructs, and trains Ticket Sellers in proper selling procedures.
  • Updates and coordinates all event information for Ticket Sellers.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global's policies and applicable laws.
  • Assists in training employees, scheduling, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources, addressing employee complaints and resolving problems.
  • Opens and or closes ticket window as required.

  • Maintains accurate count when selling hard tickets or accesses computer for count of computer printed tickets.
  • Completes daily ticket sales report. Keeps accurate daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold, balances sales and change bank and submits cash to Box Office Manager for audit.
  • Assists in vault area as needed.
  • Processes promoter, group and venue ticket orders, handles Will-Call window according to procedures, or other related duties as assigned by Manager.
  • Builds events for on sale in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, responds promptly to customer needs, responds to requests for service and assistance, able to work independently and handle most Box Office questions without assistance.
  • Efficiently and courteously answers questions concerning prices, seating and events and gives information concerning coming attractions.
  • Files various records and reports.

  • Previous experience in operating the following equipment: Genie Lift, Forklift, JLG Boom-lift, versa-hauler and man-lifts as well as other motorized lifting equipment.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Must uphold ASM Global safety standards.
  • Must provide exceptional customer service.
  • Must be able to effectively work with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication required.

 

Computer Skills

  • Operate standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using Outlook, MS Windows, Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Building Automation Systems is required.

  

Other Qualifications

  • Be licenses to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Possess any licenses, certificates or training required by local, state or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found in the facility.
