NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement.  We are a one of a kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park.  NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena. We are seeking a unique Plumber to join our Engineering team. The Plumber is under general supervision, performs work as needed to maintain and repair facility plumbing operating systems.  Duties include semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting, a high degree of physical exertion and walking or standing for long periods of time.  Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

Position Reports To:

Mechanical and Plumbing Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, repair and maintain the facility’s plumbing systems as required for the safe and efficient operation of the facility, but not limited to: Domestic Water Systems and other plumbing equipment.
  • Assist and perform preventive maintenance on equipment located in multiple buildings at facility.
  • Assist and perform preventive maintenance, repair, inspection, and rebuild as necessary to maintain quality standards on equipment at facility.
  • Perform work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards and quality checks.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Texas Journeymen Plumber License. *Preferred*
  • Technical training required in plumbing environment.
  • Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance and installation techniques.
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and written reference material.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to diagnose ad resolve plumbing problem.
  • Ability to operate drain piping cleaning machines and sanitary line cameras.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure correct and effective selling of meeting and events space for small/medium corporate, non-profit and other events as assigned by Director of Sales using established sales procedures and yield management techniques, enabling achievement of sales targets in accordance with agreed selling strategies.
  • Receive, handle, convert and contract client inquiries in line with Sales strategy, being first point of contact, delivering a clear and complete proposal, follow-up and license agreement upon confirmation of event booking.
  • Work with clients to assist in determining event requirements for small/medium corporate, private and non-profit organization events, ensuring quality for clients to support achievement of conversion and revenue targets.
  • Use creativity to offer clients innovative solutions and add value which can be delivered through expertise and experience of large event planning.
  • Communicate effectively with clients throughout the booking process ensuring a full understanding of client requirements; identify areas for further business opportunities; liaise with client when on-site to check satisfaction.
  • Maintain effective and proactive communication with the Director of Sales to highlight any future potential sales opportunities to support development of client relationships and growth of future business up-sell and cross-sell all facilities within NRG Park.
  • Contact prospective user groups and individuals to initiate corporate, private, and non-profit organization catering and special events, luncheons/dinner, etc.
  • Follow-up on leads generated by outside source, build and maintain strong working relationships and deliver sales proposals/presentations to prospective clients, as well as contract preparations.
  • Participate actively in training sessions and departmental meetings to develop, share and improve knowledge of the venue, team and product.
  • Ensure guests receive a consistently high standard of service through inquiry handling and planning and coordinating event with assigned Event Manager, meeting client expectations of a 5 star property.
  • Build strong client relationships and update guest history in order to meet their needs and encourage repeat business Manage client database for prospects and follow-up with clients periodically to assess any future needs.
  • Carry out pro-active sales activity within the Sales Office including post-event follow up calls to review guest feedback, attain marketing information and encourage future bookings.
  • Conduct facility tours for prospective clients and discuss the facility with site selection committees or designated others.
  • Establish expansive network including representatives of local organizations, and hospitality-related industries, such as hotels, convention & visitor’s bureau, meeting and event planning companies, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Joint Marketing Agreement Sponsorship opportunities with tenants.
  • Manage sponsorship fulfillment to include facility signage and ticket allocations.
  • Contact prospective sponsor groups and individuals to initiate the sales effort.
  • Follow-up on leads generated by outside sources.
  • Compile bid proposals, sponsorship sales and revenues projection reports, client satisfaction studies and other relevant sales issues.

Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.  We are seeking a unique Operations Foreman to join our Operations team.  The Operations Foreman, under general supervision, acts as a shift supervisor overseeing the event crew, part-time staff and subcontract labor that clean, maintain and prepare for events at the facility.  Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks and are often heavy in nature requiring a high degree of physical exertion.  Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

Position Reports To:

Operations Coordinator

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events. Duties may include setting-up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment.
  • Oversee personnel and perform various duties to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include but are not limited to loading/unloading delivery trucks and transporting trash to proper disposal areas.
  • Direct and assist staff with pre/post event cleaning of operational equipment, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot leaning and washing.
  • Train new hires, part-time employees or subcontracted services in the proper use of equipment, policies of the facility and life/emergency procedures.
  • Inspect the completion of all assigned tasks to guarantee all specifications are met.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, relamping, replacing ceiling tile and replacing filters.
  • Participate in the execution of life safety and emergency programs as needed for the safe execution of events at the facility and to promote a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to supervisor.

Overview

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for Full-Time Operations Staff at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement.  We are a one of a kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park.  NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a unique Full-Time Operations Staff person to join our Operations team.   The Operations Staff under general supervision performs work as needed to clean, maintain, setup/teardown equipment and prepare for events at the facility.  Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.  Also, ensures all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events. Duties may include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, stage barricades, staging, bike rack, turnstiles, tables, other furnishings and equipment.
  • Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include but are not limited to loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas.
  • Assist with pre/post event cleaning of operational equipment, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot leaning and washing.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment such as tables, chairs, staging, stage barricades, stage stairs, bike rack and retractable seating.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage of equipment and property, loss of property and equipment and safety concerns promptly to supervisor, manager and director.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
