Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a unique Event Suite Sales Coordinator to join our Sales team.   Under general supervision of the Director of Sales and the Event Suite Sales Manager, the Coordinator assists the team with the seating/suites for the Stadium Suite Sales Program for all events, not including catering.  Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Assists the Sales team in selling suites to events at NRG Park (i.e., Concerts, Family Show’s, Monster Jam, etc.)
  • Contact prospective user groups and individuals to promote the program.
  • Assist the Sales Department with follow-up on leads generated by outside sources.
  • Along with the Manager, prepare and deliver suite sales presentations to prospective clients and others at local trade shows, conventions and networking sales events as assigned.
  • Schedule and/or conduct facility tours for prospective clients.
  • Discuss the facility with site selection committees or designated others.
  • Participate with community and industry related associations, committee study groups and task forces.
  • Act as Event Day NRG Park Suite Service Representative.
  • Coordinate with NRG Park caterer to create and implement catering options for events.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Enhance and maintain a unique and standardized Guest Experience Training Program for NRG Park.
  • Enforce a vibrant customer-focused culture by rallying together key stakeholders, ASM Global team members, as well as all the organization’s business partners and their personnel.
  • Build Guest Experience staff proficiency to achieve the best guest experience consistently.
  • Train team members on various aspects of providing exceptional customer service, presenting the highest professional image, and maintaining an effective working relationship with clients, team members, exhibitors, guests, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Provide instructor-led training to all partners and contractors on NRG Park Guest Experience programs.
  • Develop situational training modules for each ASM Global department which proactively enhance the overall Guest Experience

  • Coordinate with the ASM Global ADA Administrator to ensure all employees are represented equally through the Guest Experience Training Program.

  • Analyze guest experience audit data to develop customized training plans to address any training gaps identified.
  • Prepare and review with Director monthly reports on related guest experience issues and challenges.
  • Manage team member enrollment for training, schedule training sessions, and organize the resources to facilitate training programs.
  • Provide training outside of normal scheduled training and off hours, as necessary.
  • Guest services champion for team member reward and recognition initiatives for exceptional guest experience encounters
  • Assist with maintaining the employee recognition program including but not limited to maintaining recognition website, inventory collected and distributed, messaging regarding the program, etc.

Under general supervision of the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the Finance Department and is responsible for accounts receivable. Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Finance Department in its day-to-day activities.
  • Key data into accounting software for A/R and general journal entries.
  • Billing and distributing invoices.
  • Record customer payments, checks, cash, and/or credit card transactions.
  • Record and post sales from various facility functions, i.e., Parking, Box Office ticket sales, Exhibitor Services sales, and any other revenue sources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide technical skill leadership in planning, organizing, and developing the implementation and maintenance of all assigned areas including, but not limited to the plumbing infrastructure of each facility to provide continuous operation of laboratory plumbing items and light fixtures as well as other general maintenance items as required for normal daily operation.
  • Ensure staff’s ability to safely perform and operate all related machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • Manage and evaluate all aspects of assigned areas using planning, monitoring, and controlling processes. Maintain good working relationships with project contractors.
  • Works in conjunction with contractors to coordinate with events and adjacent facilities at NRG Park.
  • Serve as Project manager as assigned and assist in necessary communication to everyone effected and involved in the project.
  • Assist in gathering bid sheets, planning, and scheduling projects required by outside contractors, as needed.
  • Facilitate in other areas of facility operations on an as needed basis.
  • Assist the Manager and/or Director in development and facilitation of annual departmental operational budget, recommend an annual capital budget for long-range repairs and improvements to the facility.
  • Develop and submit lists of necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Oversee and supervise all work order and preventative maintenance distribution assignments to ensure an effective Preventive Maintenance Program is being carried out for all areas of his/her responsibility.
  • Provide input to Manager and/or Director regarding unplanned breakdowns and their prevention; provide input to determine and eliminate root cause of problems or concerns; make design, maintenance, and operational problems visible, and escalate as required.
  • Provide input on departmental procedures as needed, such as Weather Preparedness (e.g., Freeze Protection, Heavy Rain, High Wind, and Hurricane and Stadium Roof lock-down Preparation), inventory control, etc.
  • Assist in additions and improvements for NRG Park
  • Understand and ensure that all fire, emergency, lighting, and other control systems are in proper working condition, as well as schedule the necessary required inspections.

We are seeking a creative Marketing and Public Relations Intern to work alongside our team! You will be acting as a liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations, and policies are adhered to. You will be able to learn and apply your skills in real-world applications and gain experience through digital campaigns, content creation, and more.  The Marketing and Public Relations Intern is expected to work a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Update internal and external marketing assets with the most accurate information (i.e., NRG Park website, static marquee board, social media platforms).
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Design and create visual content for our website and other digital channels.
  • Assist in print and broadcast trade for various events.
  • Assist in drafting media alerts, press releases, articles, and reports.
  • Assist in building marketing plans for concerts and events.
  • Assist with designing presentations and other visual aids for client meetings.
  • Assist in producing and distributing email campaigns.
  • Attend various meetings pertaining to the department and upcoming events on the property.
  • Attend events to assist staff in the execution of marketing, media, or social media operations.
  • Oversee and monitor social media content on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Research marketing as is relevant to NRG Park’s marketing and public relations efforts.
  • Shadow various people within the company to learn all aspects of the company including but not limited to graphics, billing, content development, sports marketing, and sponsorships.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Pleasant and helpful telephone demeanor when assisting guests, exhibitors, clients, and staff.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

 

Education and/or Experience        

  • Currently pursuing or have recently completed a two or four-year program at an accredited college or university with a focus in Communications (i.e., Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or Advertising).
  • Previous public relations experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and experience with social media marketing preferred.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented and can efficiently multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
  • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

Computer Skills

  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet savvy.
  • Knowledge of HTML, graphic design, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
