Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a unique Full-Time Operations Staff person to join our Operations team.   Under general supervision, the Operations Staff performs work as needed to clean, maintain, setup/teardown equipment and prepare for events at the facility.  Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.  Also, ensures all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events. Duties may include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, stage barricades, staging, bike rack, turnstiles, tables, other furnishings and equipment.
  • Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include but are not limited to event setup, loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas.
  • Assist with pre/post event cleaning of operational equipment, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning and washing.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment such as tables, chairs, staging, stage barricades, stage stairs, bike rack and retractable seating.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage of equipment and property, loss of property and equipment and safety concerns promptly to supervisor, manager and director.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises, instructs, and trains Ticket Sellers in proper selling procedures.
  • Updates and coordinates all event information for Ticket Sellers.

  • Assists in vault area as needed.
  • Processes promoter, group and venue ticket orders, handles Will-Call window according to procedures, or other related duties as assigned by Manager.
  • Builds events for on sale in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, responds promptly to customer needs, responds to requests for service and assistance, able to work independently and handle most Box Office questions without assistance.
  • Efficiently and courteously answers questions concerning prices, seating and events and gives information concerning coming attractions.
  • Files various records and reports.

Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.  We are seeking a unique Parking Coordinator to join our Outside Operations team.   The Outside Operations Coordinator, under direct supervision of the Outside Operations Managers, is responsible for thorough supervision, and coordination of direct personnel, subcontractors, and vendors. Responsible for the daily oversight of outside operations, cashier vault and event signs by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.  Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all client’s requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees all aspects of Outside Operations and traffic operations including event coordination, staffing of parkers, lead parkers, parking supervisors, cashier supervisors, and office supervisors.
  • Maintains labor on all events and ensures labor is within the projected guideline.
  • Responsible for informing and communicating event information to the Outside Operations Supervisors, Cashier Supervisors, and other staff.
  • Responsible for preparation, setup, organization and placement of all vehicle’s directional signs and pedestrian signs.

  • Oversees all aspects of Outside Operations and traffic operations including staffing, set-up and teardown of events, parking lot maintenance and coordinates pre and post event walkthroughs of all areas in use.
  • Responsible for obtaining permits needed for sign placement, road, and lane closures.
  • Works directly with Outside Police to ensure proper traffic control and staffing plans.
  • Oversees parking gates which includes managing traffic flow, loss prevention and ensuring optimal staffing at all times.
  • Responsible for maintaining all equipment and ordering equipment for supplemental event needs.
  • Works directly with Event Management to ensure all event requests are handled effectively.
  • Directs and supervises all Cashier’s and Gate.
  • Explains and enforces all company cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory controls of roll stock receipts in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conduct daily reconciliation on the department’s financial information. Maintain the appropriate bank for event operations.
  • Prepare, log and handle bank deposits and coordinate with the Finance Department armored car services.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly allocation reports in a timely manner.
  • Schedule and monitor hours worked for Part-Time staff.
  • Maintain inventory on all vault related equipment including cash boxes, money counters, radios, stools, credit card scanners, printers, etc.
  • Liaisons and support for all automated parking systems including ticketing solutions, exhibitor services prepaid parking/pass reports and any cashless parking system and software.
  • Attend all meetings as required.
  • Operates company vehicles as needed.

Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a unique Maintenance Mechanic Golf Carts and Vehicles person to join our Maintenance team.   The Maintenance Mechanic Golf Carts and Vehicles, under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled and technical tasks to repair and maintain golf carts and other vehicles at NRG Park.  Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on all golf carts and pickup trucks owned and operated by ASM Global NRG Park.
  • Perform regular scheduled maintenance on vehicles and maintain maintenance and repair log.
  • Oversee repair and maintenance service contracts, as well as daily use checklists by ASM Global NRG Park staff.
  • Oversee golf cart pool and check in and out procedures.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts for vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients to obtain necessary technical requirements and other event related information.

Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for Lead Maintenance Craftsman at NRG Park in Houston, Texas.  NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement.  We are a one of a kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park.  NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Craftsman to join our team.   The Lead Maintenance Craftsman, under direct supervision, is responsible directing and coordinating the daily activities of maintenance personnel at the facility.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Oversee and supervise maintenance employees in keeping NRG Park and its facilities in a properly maintained and safe working condition.
  • Supervise maintenance staff. Responsibilities include employee scheduling, coordinating and following up on preventative maintenance, general repairs and daily operations of assigned facilities.
  • Inspect and maintain quality of repairs and maintenance performed by maintenance craftsman
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tiles, door hardware repair, and correcting simple plumbing problems, as required.
  • Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program and standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment.
  • Train and direct Maintenance staff in proper operation of all facilities’ operations systems, equipment and procedures.
  • Utilize a preventative maintenance program to manage work orders and preventative maintenance items as required.
  • Assist in additions and improvements for NRG Park where necessary
  • Coordinate repairs with outside contractors as required
  • Understand and ensure that all fire, emergency, lighting and other control systems are in proper working condition; as well as assist in the scheduling of necessary required inspections.
  • Assist in gathering bid sheets, planning, and scheduling projects required by outside contractors, as needed.
  • Facilitate in other areas of facility operations on an as needed basis.
  • Develop and submit lists of necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Responsible for informing and communicating information to subordinate staff.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities    

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Position is routinely required to work outdoors and is exposed to the elements (heat, rain, etc.).
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekend hours and holidays as needed.

 

Education and/or Experience   

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Three (3) years’ experience operating and maintaining building facilities to include, plumbing and general maintenance related task experience.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) year related experience in a supervisory role.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate exceptional skills in communications and problem solving.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in industry terminology, facility capabilities, operational procedures and maintenance related services.
  • Good written and verbal skills.

 

Computer Skills  

  • Operate standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using Outlook, MS Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

 

Other Qualifications 

  • Model all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.

  • Must perform strenuous physical duties at times, including lifting, carrying, moving and climbing.
  • Must be able to lift 75lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and work on your feet for 8-10 hours a day.
  • Must be able to stretch and reach.
  • Climbing ladders and working from heights as necessary.
