Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has excellent and immediate openings for a Part-Time Ticket Seller at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement. We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park. NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena. We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our Box Office team as Part-Time Ticket Sellers. Under direct supervision, the Ticket Seller will be the first point of contact for guests purchasing tickets to our events.  You will provide exceptional service while handling ticket sales, exchanges, and general inquiries. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Process single ticket sales at the box office and assist with group sales when
  • Answer questions concerning admission fees, fares, schedules, reservations, coming attractions and ticket policies.
  • Resolve customer concerns and assist with potential ticket exchanges or issues for box office purchases.
  • Ability to handle cash, credit card, gift card, and/or voucher transactions while keeping a balanced and accurate cash drawer.
  • Collecting, depositing, and accurately reporting on all monies, funds, and payments that have been received and/or generated.
  • Resolve customer ticket-related issues (Transfers, barcodes, account issues, etc.) by researching ticketing
  • Aid guests with mobile ticket education, claiming, transferring, issues, etc. in assistance with a Ticketing Supervisor if needed.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills; responds promptly to customer needs, responds to requests for service and assistance, able to work independently and handle most box office questions without assistance.
  • Manages Will-Call window operations, prepares ticket orders, or other related duties assigned by a Ticketing Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Previous ticketing, point of sales, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Calculate mathematical computations and handle financial transactions rapidly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess understanding of the operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event- related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility.
  • Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.
  • Demonstrate the ability to carry out tasks in a reliable, productive, and expedient manner and be able to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and managing relationships.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. A minimum of 1 shift per calendar quarter is required to stay in good standing.
  • Comfortable working in an office environment where, at times, the noise level can be loud in a stadium environment.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule with different personalities and produce accurate
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written
  • Maintain a client service-oriented

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and
