Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a unique Senior Accountant to join our team.  Under general supervision, the Senior Accountant works closely with all financial matters including accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, auditing, box office, exhibitor services and event settlements.  Also, this position acts as a liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Prepare assigned event settlements while working closely with Sales, Event Services and Operations.
  • Prepare assigned event flash reports for reporting and journal entry posting purposes.
  • Assist in monthly close process including account reconciliations, analysis, and preparation of journal entries.
  • Maintain internal audit controls and participate in external audits.
  • Assist with exhibitor services event audits.
  • Run reports directly through online ordering system software.
  • Assist with inquiries and research discrepancies.

This internship opportunity will provide hands-on experience in event operations, customer service, and venue management. Interns are expected to work a minimum of twenty (20) to twenty-five (25) hours per week with up to a 1-year commitment and must be currently enrolled in at minimum of a 2-to-4-year program.
