ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for an Event Coordinator at NRG Park in Houston, Texas.  NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement.  We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park.  NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a unique Event Coordinator to join our Events team.   Under general supervision, the Event Coordinator coordinates all event preparation and performance aspects related to the facility.  Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Communicate with clients to obtain necessary technical requirements and other event related information.
  • Accurately prepare event estimates in conjunction with the contractual proposals set forth by the Sales Team.
  • Work closely with and receive direction, mentorship, and coaching from Event Managers
  • Properly execute in a timely fashion all back-end paperwork related to the event, i.e., post event notes, settlements, photo uploads, etc.
  • Inspect buildings and specific meeting areas to evaluate suitability for occupancy, considering such factors as air circulation, lighting, location, room-size, and event requirements.
  • Ensure that the equipment, physical set-up, and personnel provided meet the requirements of the event and the tenant’s contractual agreement.
  • Develop assignment schedules for staffing requirements for the proper presentation of events.
  • Monitor performance of front of house staff including guest services, security, medical and event staff.
  • Provides clear, concise, and timely communication of detailed requirements to all departments.
  • Assists in scheduling operational set-ups to provide equipment or service needs.
  • Monitors and supervises facility set-up when necessary.
  • Ensure all pertinent information is obtained, compiled in event files, and distributed to proper entities. This includes but is not limited to compiling, filing, and distributing medical service reports, incident reports, ejections, arrest, parking lists, staffing schedules and attendance reports.
  • Coordinate with the Box Office regarding technical and production requirements that impact sights lines and/or cause seating obstructions.
  • Manage the preparation for upcoming events. Knowledge of methods in setting up/tearing down events, housekeeping/cleaning techniques of large public facilities, exhibiting and show utilities (i.e., special lighting, booth wiring, compressed air, etc.) is useful.
  • Work irregular schedule to ensure proper supervision of all events and activities scheduled in the facility, as required.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • CAD and Adobe Illustrator experience preferred.

Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena.    We are seeking a unique Guest Experience Manager to join our Events team.  Under general supervision, the Guest Experience Manager oversees and guarantees that the facility provides quality customer service to clients, guests, vendors, and all others serviced by the facility.  Under direction of the Director of Event Services, the Guest Experience Manager provides proficient and comprehensive service-oriented training to the Event Services staff and specific NRG Park departments where necessary.  Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Create a unique and standardized Customer Service Program for NRG Park.
  • Train employees on various aspects of providing exceptional customer service, presenting the highest professional image, and maintaining an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, guests, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Train all partners and contractors on NRG Park Guest Services programs.
  • Responsible for the ASM Global Corporate Guest Services program.
  • Provide follow-up and public relations actions when warranted in assistance of the Guest Services Coordinator.
  • Assist with the handling of complaints from guests or partners in relation to Guest Services.
  • Work with tenants, Event Coordinators, Event Services Managers, Sales and Marketing personnel and others to increase level of exceptional customer service.
  • Manage facility’s compliance to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance.
  • Work with tenants on guest service-related items pertaining to their events. Develop solutions and implement forward thinking objectives to increase level of service through property wide service training.
  • Develop and implement monthly employee recognition programs and other special in-house events.
  • Prepare and review with Director monthly reports on related guest services issues and challenges. Prepare solutions to any outstanding issues.
  • Create, establish, and distribute Guest Services handbooks and informational literature for staff.
  • Oversee and manage the Lost and Found program through the Guest Services Coordinator.
  • Manage and oversee the NRG Stadium tour program, including staffing and training tour guides, managing tour calendar, prepare and promote tours to large groups.
  • Enhance the guest and client experience with customer service programs.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena. We are seeking a unique Groundskeeper to join our Sports Turf Management team. Under supervision from the Sports Turf Manager, the Groundskeeper assists in maintaining the playing field and grounds at the stadium, Houston Texans practice facility as well as the grounds surrounding the complex. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion, such as planting, cleaning, and maintaining playable field conditions. Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Assist in the maintenance of NRG Stadium artificial turf and Houston Texans practice facility fields to include mowing, fertilizing, grooming, painting, and cultivating.
  • Assist in the set up the playing field for all NFL games as well as other special events that come through the stadium, i.e., concerts, exhibits and soccer matches.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the field maintenance equipment and supplies and keep records of all maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the irrigation system (replace sprinkler heads, adjust distribution, inspect moisture content).
  • Assists in the planting and care of shrubs, flowers, trees, and grass.
  • Uses hand tools and equipment or light powered hand tools.
  • Operating various equipment to maintain various sports fields.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
